A real turning point was when we began to see our red bins, weeks in and out, overflowing with wastage sent off to landfills and realising how much plastics and tinfoil was unable to be recycled with the typical recycling methods available to us.

In order for us to be able to continue doing what we love in the salon without harming the environment, something had to change.

Sustainable salons is an incredible organisation that aids salons in their recycling journeys by diverting salon resources from landfills and recycle 97% of in salon waste with repurposed solutions. In the last year, through Sustainable Salons, Savvy has recycled 144kg of plastic, 288kg of paper, 209kg of metal and 43kg of hair. Worldwide, Sustainable

Salons has received 240,000 ponytails to be made into wigs for alopecia and cancer victims and have donated 276,000 meals to OZ Harvest and Kiwi Harvest.
